How many shades difference will I notice?

Everyone's teeth whiten a little differently, so it's not possible to promise exact shade numbers. Your enamel and daily habits both play a part.

For most people, one session is enough to see a noticeable difference. But if you'd like to keep going, each at-home kit includes up to 6 sessions, so you can safely use it daily until you're happy (or until the kit runs out).

If you want to keep whitening further or maintain your results, refill gels are available and add up to 18 more sessions, so you have plenty of flexibility to reach and keep your brightest possible smile.

Everyone has a natural stopping point, and this system will help you get there safely and comfortably.

How often should I whiten?

I usually recommend starting with one session, then waiting 24 hours to let the results fully develop before deciding if you want to do another. Most people only need to use the kit once every 1 to 3 months.

There are up to 6 whitening sessions in each kit, so you can use it as much or as little as needed.

If you've got an event coming up or want your brightest smile as soon as possible, it's totally safe to use the kit every day until the gel runs out. This will give you the quickest, most dramatic results.

Is it safe for sensitive teeth?

Yes! The formula is designed to be gentle and works comfortably for most people, even for sensitive teeth. If you're super worried about sensitivity, Professional Whitening Mouthwash is a great first step and gentle intro to whitening.

Can I use this if I have crowns, veneers, or other dental work?

Yes!

If your dental work is whiter, the kit will help your natural teeth gradually match.
If your dental work is more yellow, whitening your natural teeth first is best, followed by new dental work that matches your brighter natural shade if desired. Always wait two weeks after whitening before colour matching.

If you have Invisalign attachments or braces, stick with Professional Whitening Mouthwash for the duration of your treatment. Whitening gel will work, but tends to get messy around the ortho attachments.

How is this different from whitening strips?

Strips mostly sit on the surface, and they can be harsh on your teeth. They also only brighten for a little while before the stains come right back. This kit is equivalent to a professional whitening treatment at the dentist. It goes deeper to lift stains properly, brighten your whole smile evenly (even the nooks & crannies in-between) and keep your results lasting way longer.
